The rapids slowed and Stripepaw climbed onto the banks, watching for the floating figure that would probably be Willowpaw. She hoped she hadn't killed him- or Tigerstripe probably would of.
If he had died, at least it hadn't been at the claws of my mother, she winced, a pang to her heart. All she wanted right now was his sweet scent...
Suddenly she looked around. This was not ShadeClan!

Willowpaw gasped for air, and his strong-ish muscles made their way to the shore. His chest heaving, he looked up at Stripepaw. "Thanks." He murmmered. "For you know, saving me. Not that I couldn't have taken down that nasty dirty rotten- wait, are you going to kill me?" The apprentice sat down, ears flicking curiously.

"You are stupid, after all!" she purred. "Do you really think that?" She shook her pelt and pounds of water flew from it, splattering Willowpaw.
A yowl sounded from behind a tree. "Watch it!" Emerging from behind it was a skinny, orange tom.

And behind the scorning voice, was the gentle Tree. "Mmm, you're from those clans, aren't you? Young'uns, you shouldn't be here. There are foxes, and badgers, and dogs-" The loner stopped. He saw the expression on Willowpaw's face; it said We don't want to be here! "Oh my mistake dearies, I didn't know you'd wander off, or do whatever you were doing. Anyway, should you need assistance going back to Clan territories, I may help. I was once a clan cat....." Her drifting tone was careful, unsure how the youngsters would react to him.

"No!" Stripepaw exclaimed. "Tigerstripe will look for us there- she'll kill us both!" Her face looked grim. "And what if she hurts Coldpaw?"
Telemain looked at them. "I may be of great assistance in your seemingly dangerous and risky situation which provides great caution."

The shabby ginger orange cat looked at Telemain. "I wonder what you've thought of this time?" She asked curiously. Telemain was quite a know-it-all as some would put it. She shurgged, when Willowpaw gave her an alarming glance.

Stripepaw stared at Telemain. "Do I know you?"
Telemain gave a weak smile. "I believe you and your siblings chased me halfway across the forest."
The apprentice looked away. "Sorry," she said quietly.

Willowpaw flinched. "Well, er, I am Tree...this is Telemain." The loner said, dipping her head. She flicked her tail, as she saw Willowpaw's clouded eyes.
"Hello..." Willowpaw said nervously. He wasn't used to talking to starngers, or loners. "We'd like to know, as Telemain said, how you would care to help us?"

"First we should take you to the occupation of an old acquaintance of mine- Gator, the tom that lives in the barn." Telemain paused. "Come with me." He sunk into the trees.
