Leopardclaw walked slowly through the forest, trusting that Owlpaw was not too far behind her. Finally finding a suitable spot to train, she drew to a halt, hopping onto a fallen tree to wait for Owlpaw to catch up.

Owlpaw ran in, skidding to a stop. "What are we going to hunt?" he asked with excitement in his voice.

Hmm, good question... How 'bout we practice hunting mice? Leopardclaw said in answer to Owlpaw's question. She leaped down from the log. When hunting mice, you must remember to step lightly, otherwise they'll hear you coming. With these words, Leopardclaw moved into a hunter's crouch, before springing onto an unsuspecting mouse, catching it with ease. Alright, now you try.

Mice are easy! laughed Owlpaw as he dropped into a hunter's crouch, springing at a mouse. It quickly moved out of the way and into the bushes and Owlpaw rolled head-over-tail into some bushes. There was a surprised squeal and Owlpaw came out holding a dead mouse.

Well, I guess I don't need to teach you that, then. Leopardclaw remarked with a hint of laughter in her voice. So, I guess, we can practice a few fighting moves, and then call it a day?

Fighting! Owlpaw exclaimed. Yeah! He pounced at Leopardclaw suddenly.

Not really expecting the sudden pounce, Leopardclaw ducked at the last second, landing Owlpaw on her back for a second, before pitching him off. I wasn't ready yet! She exclaimed, more out of surprise than actual anger, though.

"When you fight a real enemy," Owlpaw teased. "I'm sure that when they attack you that you don't say 'I'm wasn't ready yet!'" Then he leaped again.

This time, Leopardclaw was expecting the attack, and easily dodged to the side, attempting to pin Owlpaw with her front feet once she was safely out of the way.

Owlpaw was successfully pinned. However, he pulled up his hind legs in an attempt to toss off his mentor by kicking her in the underbelly.

Leopardclaw unpinned Owlpaw, backing a few steps away, seemingly to catch her breath, before rushing back toward Owlpaw, deciding to try and knock him over with her weight.

Quickly, Owlpaw leaped up and Leopardclaw ended up passing right under him. He then turned around and dove at her rear, hoping to pull her down to the ground.

Leopardclaw chuckled a little bit, poking Owlpaw in the side with a forepaw. I suppose this means I win? She teased.
